Robert I. Gosseen
Robert I. Gosseen rejoined the firm as Of Counsel and his practice is in the area of labor and employment law.
Mr. Gosseen has more than forty-seven years of experience as a labor and employment lawyer. After graduating from the School of Industrial and Management Relations at Cornell University, he received his law degree, followed by a Master’s Degree in labor law from the New York University School of Law, where he has more recently taught as an adjunct associate professor in the Master of Laws program in Labor Law. Before joining, Mr. Gosseen was a member of Graubard, Moskovitz, McGoldrick, Dannett & Horowitz and then practiced for 25 years as a member of Gallagher, Gosseen & Faller.
For more than four decades, Mr. Gosseen has represented domestic and international clients in all aspects of employment and labor law, including traditional union relations law, employment discrimination law, ERISA and benefits law. His practice has included numerous appearances before arbitrators, administrative agencies, and human rights commissions, as well as federal and state trial and appellate courts. He regularly conducts seminars for clients in areas such as preventing sexual harassment and discrimination, reducing the workforce, labor relations, and hiring, disciplining, and discharging employees. He also counsels client on creating and updating their employee manuals.
