Robert Gosseen is Counsel in the firm’s Employment Law Practice.

Always On Call, On Time, and On Point

For more than four decades, Mr. Gosseen has supported private sector and nonprofit employers in virtually all aspects of labor, employment, and benefits law. He represents clients in state and federal trial and appellate courts, as well as before administrative hearings and human rights commissions. On many occasions, he arbitrates and mediates claims and negotiates settlements.

Mr. Gosseen helps public companies and public entities (municipal, state, federal) protect their interests by creating and updating employee manuals. He also supports smaller, privately owned businesses who need high-quality, day-to-day legal support.

Employment law presents constantly evolving challenges. Mr. Gosseen proactively alerts clients to new legislation and statutes that could impact their business and require attention and a response. He regularly conducts seminars for clients on sexual harassment and discrimination, workforce reductions, labor relations, and the hiring, disciplining, and discharging employees.

Mr. Gosseen actively writes and lectures and is a member of the Labor & Employment group of Primerus, an international association of independent law firms. He regularly contributes articles to their quarterly magazine on topics like misclassification of employees, office romances, religious exemptions, and beauty in the workplace.

Before joining Ganfer Shore Leeds & Zauderer, Mr. Gosseen was a name partner at Gallagher, Gosseen & Faller for 25 years. Earlier in his career, he was a member of Graubard, Moskovitz, McGoldrick, Dannett & Horowitz.
