For over twenty-five years, Mr. Miller has been successfully representing clients in federal and state courts, arbitrations, mediations, internal investigations and settlement negotiations. He is a commercial litigator with expertise in contract, real estate, corporate, securities, fiduciary duty, intellectual property and professional malpractice disputes. Mr. Miller takes pride in getting the best possible results for clients as cost-efficiently as possible.
Mr. Miller has extensive experience in all phases of litigation from pleadings, temporary restraining orders, and preliminary injunctions through discovery, motions to dismiss, motions for summary judgment, trials, appeals and enforcement. Mr. Miller’s successes in the courtroom include his work on two-attorney trial teams that won two $20 million judgment against a prominent real estate developer after a three-month bench trial, defeated an application for a preliminary injunction that would have prevented a former general counsel of patent holding firm from starting new job, and obtained a jury verdict for a French university in a federal trial over the ownership of online courses.
Mr. Miller also advises clients in the financial services, real estate, telecommunications, entertainment and other sectors on a broad range of subjects, including corporate governance, GDPR and privacy laws, creditor rights, and the enforceability of restrictive covenants.
Mr. Miller began his career at Pillsbury Winthrop LLP and Latham & Watkins LLP before becoming a partner at the litigation boutique Shapiro Forman Allen & Sava LLP. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Miller practiced at Allen Miller LLP, a firm he co-founded.
